3/16/12: NEB APPOINTED SERVICE YARD FOR NAUTOR'S SWAN


nautors swan authorized service yardNautor's Swan Ab, (Finland) well known builder of performance sailing yachts recently named New England Boatworks Inc, (Portsmouth, RI, USA) to be an authorized Swan Service Yard. Nautor's well respected reputation for after sales service is managed by the Swan Customer Care Department via a network of authorized service centers around the globe.

Going forward, NEB will be working together with the Nautor's Swan Customer Care Department. Some Swan owners and Captains are simply looking for a better connection for factory parts from Finland, others can now look to NEB for complete service for all Swan models up to and including Swan 100s. NEB's riggers, mechanics, electricians, joiners, metal fabricators and paint crew as well as the composites division are well versed in the yacht repair and refit trades. This new partnership is expected to work seamlessly as Swans from New England as well as those cruising to and from Europe and the Caribbean have already been using NEB for years as their preferred service and refit yard.

Recently, NEB partner and chief engineer David MacBain traveled to Nautor's Swan in Finland along with Paul Dow, head of NEB's Mechanical / Electrical Department. According to MacBain, "Our mission was to meet with Nautor's management team, tour their facilities and review Nautor's systems and methods with the head of Swan Customer Care as well as the head of the technical department". Now, MacBain and Dow both have a better appreciation for the care and attention that Nautor's Swan expects for all Swans after they leave the factory to yachting destinations around the world.

NEB in Portsmouth, Rhode Island is well located and equipped to handle the service, refit and general customer care needs for the growing fleet of Nautor's Swan yachts here in the USA. NEB, as well as providing storage for many Swans, has, over the last few years, provided extensive service for a multitude of Swans ranging from the older more classic yachts to the NYYC Club Swan 42 fleet. Additionally, NEB has undertaken extensive repair and refit projects on a variety of Swans including cosmetic repairs and paint jobs, teak deck repairs and replacements, mechanical services, rigging, scheduled service periods etc, on various models including but not limited to 45s, 48s, 56s, 75 and 76s through to the flagship Swan 100s.
